MCAST is the leading vocational education provider in Malta with a course provision that spans from MQF Introductory Level A to MQF Level 7. In line with its Mission Statement, “To provide universally accessible vocational and professional education and training with an international dimension, responsive to the needs of the individual and the economy.”, MCAST is always seeking ways to make knowledge increasingly more accessible.

Within this context, a large number of e-modules in the areas of ICT, Creative Arts, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Community Services, are being offered free of charge to the general public through MCAST’s Online Platform. These e-modules are being offered for self-learning but are not accredited. However, participants who register and follow any of these modules shall be issued with a letter from MCAST confirming participation.

MCAST ONLINE is an online learning platform offering free and flexible online education, with the aim of enabling individuals who are unable to attend educational programmes at a fixed time and/or location to proceed with their studies. The objective of MCAST ONLINE is to provide an online solution for individuals to follow lectures with the added flexibility of choosing the time and location to follow their education. MCAST ONLINE offers eModules (online educational modules) in various areas of study.
To subscribe to MCAST ONLINE, the following criteria need to be satisfied: a) be a Maltese national and/or a Maltese resident registered at a Maltese residential address; b) be over 15 years of age at the time of subscription; c) have a unique email address.
There are currently no entry requirements for following MCAST ONLINE eModules. However, a basic knowledge of the use of computers and internet navigation is needed to follow eModules and use the various features of the eLearning platform. Knowledge of the English language is also needed in order to follow the content which is in English. It is important to note that the modules offered as part of MCAST ONLINE fall under the category of blended and/or distance learning, and therefore require a high level of discipline and independence by the subscriber in order to: - follow the material and additional sources as needed, - consolidate his/her knowledge on the topic.
MCAST ONLINE has released eModules in the areas of: • ICT, • Creative Arts, • Mechanical Engineering, • Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and • Community Services.

To subscribe to an eModule, click on the ‘Register now’ button or click here. You will be directed to the following form: applform You shall be requested to fill-in your details and submit your subscription by clicking on the ‘Submit’ button at the end of the form. Following the submission of this form, kindly check your email (including your spam folder) for further instructions for completing subscription.
MCAST full-time students are eligible to follow MCAST Online Modules. However, it is important to note that the eModules are not a substitute for any topics (in whole or in part) of any MCAST programme.
Following the eModules independently is free of charge and letter of participation is awarded upon completion.
There is no limit to the number of eModules one may subscribe to.
This can be done by selecting multiple eModule/s from the list in the subscription form where indicated below: applformRED It is thus possible to subscribe to more than one eModule simultaneously. It is also possible to subscribe to additional eModules following initial subscription. This can be done by completing the same form above, making sure to keep the same email address, name and surname, and identification number.
No. Each subscriber is allowed to subscribe with only one email address. Subscribing with multiple email addresses may result in loss of eModule progress and/or termination of subscriber’s account. It is however possible to request that email communications are sent to a different email address, should a subscriber change their email address. Any requests to change an email address, or any other contact information should be sent via email to elearning@mcast.edu.mt and an MCAST ONLINE representative will get back to you at their earliest availability.
No. Each Subscriber needs to have a unique email address to subscribe to MCAST ONLINE eModules. Multiple individuals subscibing with a common email address will not be given access to the eModules. Moreover In order to save progress and claim a letter of participation each individual is required to have a unique email address.
Following subscription, you should receive an automatic email within a few minutes from submitting your form, acknowledging receipt of your subscription. This email will include a link to the ‘Data Protection Authorisation Form’ to be completed by by the subcriber. It is important to note that subcription is not complete until the subscriber submits this form. Should this form not be submitted, the subscription will not be processed.
Should you not receive this email within a few minutes, check your Spam and/or Junk Email folder. Should you find your email in this folder, please check your email settings to avoid any future emails from MCAST ONLINE being directed to this folder. Should you not receive this email, kindly resubmit your subscription making sure your email address is entered correctly. Subscriptions with incomplete details or wrong email addresses cannot be processed and access to MCAST ONLINE cannot be granted. It is the subscribers’ sole responsibility to ensure that the details submitted are correct. Should you still experience difficulties with subscribing to MCAST ONLINE eModules, please send an email with your request to elearning@mcast.edu.mt and an MCAST ONLINE representative will get back to you at their earliest availability.
Following submission of the ‘Data Protection Registration Form’, subscribers need to allow a few days for their details to be processed. An email with personal login details from elearning@mcast.edu.mt will follow within a few day. Should any inconsistencies be noted in your subscription, you will be contacted by an MCAST ONLINE representative via email or phone for clarification of details in the days following completion of subscription (including the submission of the ‘Data Protection Registration Form’). Subscriptions cannot be processed until any inconsistencies are resolved. Also note that MCAST ONLINE email communication is sent only from elearning@mcast.edu.mt. Should you receive any emails claiming to be from an MCAST ONLINE representative from any other sender, kindly ignore and/or report this to us on our email address elearning@mcast.edu.mt. Should communication by phone be required, kindly note that only an official MCAST Telephone line will be used. The MCAST ONLINE representative will always identify himself/herself and will never ask for any sensitive data such as passwords or bank details.
Yes. Completing the Data Protection Consent Form is obligatory and in line with GDPR requirements. Unless this form is completed and submitted, your subscription is considered incomplete and cannot be processed, and therefore access to the online modules cannot be granted.
It is possible that the processing of subscriptions is delayed due to high demand for MCAST ONLINE eModules. Nonetheless please do not hesitate to send an email enquiring about the status of your subscription to elearning@mcast.edu.mt and an MCAST ONLINE representative will get back to you at their earliest availability.
To add more eModules to your profile, submit the subscription form as indicated in 11 above. The new eModules should appear in your account within a few days.
Kindly note that there are a few periods during the year when it could take a while longer for additional eModules to appear on your profile. This could be due to staff recess or high demand for MCAST ONLINE eModules. Nonetheless please do not hesitate to send your query to elearning@mcast.edu.mt and an MCAST ONLINE representative will get back to you at their earliest availability.
The eModule’s content can be accessed immediately upon receipt of login details. Login details are usually sent within a few days from subscription.
MCAST ONLINE works with any browser, including Microsoft Internet Explorer, Firefox Mozilla, Google Chrome, Safari etc.
Any device with internet access and an internet browser can be used to access MCAST ONLINE and follow an eModule ie. Personal Computers, Laptops, Tablets, Smartphones etc.
The email includes three important details: 1. A link to access MCAST ONLINE eModules; 2. Your Username; 3. Your Password. Once login details are recieved, you may access MCAST ONLINE immediately by clicking on the provided link. This can be done by inputting the details received as indicated in the following image: q22 Following login, you will be directed to your account as indicated in the following image: q22B It is recommended that you change your password the first time you log in to your account. Your eModules are readily available for following and no wait is necessary.
Passwords can be changed by following these steps: 1. Log in to MCAST ONLINE using the username and password sent to you following subscription. 2. Click on your name at the top right of the screen – this will take you to your profile page. 3. On your profile page, Select ‘Settings’ from the left side menu. 4. In the settings page look for the ‘Edit Settings’ button on the right side of the page and click. 5. The option to change your password should be available beneath your details as shown in the following image (marked by the red box below). q25 6. You need to tick the “change password” checkbox, where you will then be able to enter a new password.
The list of eModule/s subscribed to, can be viewed by clicking on the ‘Units’ tab as indicated in the image below: q26 To start following an eModule, you need to select the eModule from the drop-down menu list, where you will then be redirected to the eModule contents page.
Following completion of an eModule your participation will be acknowledged with an official ‘Letter of Participation’ issued by MCAST. Kindly note that the issue of the ‘Letter of Participation’ is not an automatic process. Upon completion of an eModule, you are to notify the MCAST ONLINE Team by email on elearning@mcast.edu.mt, and an MCAST ONLINE representative will guide you in claiming your ‘Letter of Participation’. Progress and time are monitored by the MCAST ONLINE Team. Both the online participation time and the minimum hours required online (15 hours per course) will be recorded on the ‘Letter of Participation’.
There is no deadline for subscription to eModules. It is however pertinent to note that MCAST reserves the right as a provider to terminate the provision of any module at any time, and cannot guarantee that a module will always be available.
There is no time limit to complete an eModule. It is up to the Subscriber’s discretion to complete an eModule within a time-frame that is convenient for him/her. It is however pertinent to note . that MCAST reserves the right as a provider to change or terminate the provision of any module at any time, and cannot guarantee that a module will always be available. It is therefore the sole responsibility of the Subscriber to complete an eModule within a reasonable timeframe.

In cases where subscribers change their email address and would like to receive updates on a different email address, they should notify MCAST ONLINE on elearning@mcast.edu.mt to update their contact details.
