Course details

Apprenticeship
This programme is designed to equip learners with the necessary theoretical knowledge of aircraft maintenance and related electrical and avionics systems at technician level. This is also backed by practical experience in dedicated workshops. Learners attending this course will be prepared to sit for the relative examinations organised by awarding bodies, which may lead to being awarded the EASA Part-66 Category B2 licence. Subject to authorisation by the Part-145 Organization, the licence will permit the holder to issue Certificates of Release to Service following maintenance on electrical and avionics systems. This training programme includes work-related training and practice. Applicants have to be able to work within the industries concerned.
This course is a highly innovative program in the sector and gives the opportunity for the learner to obtain an advanced diploma apart from sitting for the EASA exams. Successful learners can then progress to the Level 5 Undergraduate Diploma in Foundations of Engineering which will allow them to have access to the IET BEng in Mechanical or Electronics.
Dan il-programm huwa mfassal biex jipprovdi lill-istudenti l-għarfien teoretiku neċessarju dwar is-sistemi ta’ manutenzjoni ta’ inġenji tal-ajru u sistemi elettroniċi u avjoniċi oħra relatati fil-livell ta’ teknixin. Dan l-għarfien huwa msaħħaħ b’esperjenza prattika f’workshops apposta. L-istudenti li jattendu dan il-kors jitħejjew għall-eżamijiet relatati, organizzati minn istituzzjonijiet li joffru dawn il-kwalifiki, u li jistgħu jwasslu għall-għoti tal-liċenzja EASA Part-66 Category B2. Permezz ta’ din il-liċenzja, wieħed ikun jista’, jekk ikollu l-awtorizzazzjoni mill-Part-145 Organisation, joħroġ Certificates of Release to Service wara xogħol ta’ manutenzjoni fuq sistemi elettriċi u avjoniċi. Dan il-programm jinkludi taħriġ u prattika relatati max-xogħol. L-applikanti għandhom ikunu kapaċi jaħdmu fl-industriji kkonċernati. Waqt il-kors, l-istudent ikollu l-possibbiltà li jikseb Advanced Diploma, li jfisser li jkun jista’ jkompli jistudja fil-livell ta’ baċellerat.
Dan il- kors hu innovattiv ghax studenti li jtemmu l- kors b success ikunu eligibli ghal- diploma b livell avvanzat apparti li jistu joqodu ghal ezamijiet tal EASA. Studenti li jtemmu b success dan il- kors jistu jipprogressaw ghal kors tal- Undergraduate Diploma in Foundations of Engineering, liema kors jaghti access ghal- bacellarat fl iginerija.
