Course Description (English)

This programme of studies is designed to prepare learners with the necessary underpinning knowledge required for a career in aircraft maintenance. It covers the main aspects of aircraft structures and systems, materials and maintenance practices, as well as the fundamentals of electrical and digital techniques. The course includes practical elements and exposure within aircraft maintenance organisations. This course also provides learners with the opportunity to further develop their knowledge of key skills subjects such as Mathematics, Science, English, Maltese, Information Technology and Individual and Social Responsibility. Successful candidates can further their studies towards EASA Part-66 certification.

Dan il-programm ta’ studji huwa mfassal biex jipprovdi lill-istudenti l-għarfien bażiku meħtieġ għal karriera fil-manutenzjoni talajruplani. Dan ikopri l-aspetti ewlenin tal-istrutturi u s-sistemi, il-materjali u l-prattiċi ta’ manutenzjoni ta’ inġenji tal-ajru, kif ukoll l-elementi fundamentali tat-teknika elettrika u diġitali. Il-kors jinkludi elementi prattiċi u esperjenza f’kumpaniji li jagħmlu manutenzjoni tal-ajruplani. Dan il-kors jipprovdi wkoll lill-istudenti l-opportunità biex ikomplu jsaħħu l-għarfien tagħhom f’suġġetti fundamentali, bħall-Matematika, ix-Xjenza, l-Ingliż, il-Malti, it-Teknoloġija tal-Informazzjoni u r-Responsabbiltà Individwali u Soċjali. Il-kandidati li jtemmu l-kors b’suċċess jistgħu jkomplu jistudjaw biex jiksbu ċ-ċertifikat Part-66 tal-EASA.

A medical certificate testing colour blindness is recommended for this course.
