Principal’s Message to staff and students

December 20, 2022 Communications

As the year comes to a close, it is also an opportunity to reflect on the lessons we’ve learned and on the strengths of the College as a place where staff and students succeed.

This was a successful year. We started the year with the opening of the MCAST Resource Centre, and it is a great satisfaction to see students using the library and the new facilities.

Work is ongoing to complete the new Institute of Information and Communication Technology building. The new building will be ready by next summer, and students will be able to use this facility during the next academic year.

We organised various initiatives and activities throughout the year: the open days held last summer, the Freshers’ week, and an international conference that attracted over 150 participants, where we shared research and innovative work by MCAST researchers.

During the past week, we celebrated the success of 2400 students who graduated this year. Behind every graduate, there’s a story: everyone has their own experience where the road ahead is not always easy, but work and perseverance lead to success.

I take this opportunity to thank all staff members for the work they do every day with dedication and commitment. I urge our students to continue learning even outside of the classroom. We need to maintain strong ties with the industry so that our students continue learning.

Heartfelt thanks to all those who worked with the College because they believe in vocational education, lifelong education, and industry practice.

I wish you and your loved ones a Happy Christmas and a New Year full of health, prosperity, and happiness.
