MCAST hosts 2022 IBMC Fexserv Awards

The MCAST Institute of Business Management and Commerce (IBMC) proudly hosted the 2022 IBMC Fexserv Awards at the College’s Main Campus in Paola. An event that brought together academic staff and students to celebrate the students’ success.

Fexserv Fund Services Limited, one of Malta’s leading financial services providers, sponsored the award ceremony and presented eight awards to the winners. Students reading for a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Business Enterprise and others reading for a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Financial Services Management participated in this year’s IBMC Fexserv Awards.

Leanne Said was the first overall student during this year’s award ceremony for the Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Financial Services Management. Aiden Catania Borg was awarded first in Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Business Enterprise.

For the first time since the beginning of this award ceremony, two new awards were presented, namely, the ‘Principal’s Award’, which was awarded to Ms Tesmarie Busuttil and the ‘Director’s Award’, which was awarded to Mr Justin Formosa. Both students follow a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Business Enterprise.

During the event, MCAST Principal and CEO, Professor Joachim James Calleja and IBMC Director Mr Andrew Galea congratulated the students on their achievements. They highlighted the importance of hosting such events, which major industry players not only in shaping and mentoring future generations but playing a key role in forming course content.

At IBMC, students are provided with a unique platform where academic learning is blended with hands-on experience, empowering the student with a better understanding of the needs within the industry.

Professor Calleja also thanked Anabel Mifsud, Managing Director of Fexserv Fund Services and Lawrence Buttigieg, Alpine Group’s CEO, for their dedication and firm belief in students.
