Over 400 aspiring students attend MCAST’s Open Day at Mosta Campus

Over 400 aspiring students and their families gathered at the MCAST Institute for the Creative Arts (ICA) Mosta campus for the open day activity held on the 19th of June 2022.

During the successful event, visitors were greeted by lecturers and current students who helped answer prospective students’ queries about courses starting in October 2022. During the event aspiring students and their parents were able to discover the  state-of-the-art campus facilities, including workshops, labs and media studios.

The College’s career guidance advisors also explained and provided individual guidance to prospective students about the various learning paths available at MCAST.

During the Open Day, information talks covering the various courses offered were held. These informative talks provided prospective students with details about diverse courses including fine art, graphic design, graphic printing, performing arts, fashion design, product, spatial design, game art, creative media production, journalism, and more.

The event served as a taster, which allowed visitors to get a taste of what life at MCAST looks like. Attendees also appreciated the artistic exhibits set up by level 4 diploma students. The exhibition included the work of students from fine arts, jewellery making, ceramics, digital art, fashion design  and spatial design, among others.

The Institute of Creative Arts (ICA) offers over 25 courses, from entry-level courses to courses at Bachelor’s and Master’s levels courses. You can discover all courses offered by the Institute by clicking here. The institute has a student population of over 1000 students.

Meanwhile, the College is currently preparing to hold a second Open Day event next Friday 24th June 2022 at MCAST’s Main Campus in Paola. The event will be held between 6pm and 10pm. All MCAST Institutes will be offering informative talks about respective courses and potential career pathways. Information talks shall commence at 6pm and will be held at the College’s MRC auditorium. Attendees will also have the chance to discover the MCAST’s campus, meet lecturers and gain first-hand information from students currently following courses at the College. Moreover, details on a wide array of courses and a throughout explanation of the application procedures shall be provided.
