On Your Bike: Are you ready to cycle your way to MCAST?

April 14, 2022 Communications

The Malta College for Arts, Science, and Technology (MCAST) has teamed up with MOVE to celebrate a global event namely, ‘MOVE Week’ which aims to showcase the benefits of leading a healthy lifestyle.

In an initiative organised by MCAST and MOVE, students, and staff at the College are encouraged to flex their muscles and participate in a ‘Bicycle Bus’. A bicycle bus is a group of persons meeting at some location with bicycles and cycling together in company towards MCAST, ‘picking up’ other participants along the route, then arriving together.

Participants will be able to promote the benefits of cycling to work or to College and highlight the need for safer cycling infrastructure. So are you ready to do your part and work toward a positive change in our community?

Along with a chance to have some fun, do some exercise and enjoy each other’s company, participants will also enter the chance to win some vouchers kindly offered by Transport Malta. So there’s more in it for you!

This event will take place on the 6th of May 2022 and participants will meet at around 7 am depending on the location chosen. Pick-up points include Albert Town, Blata l-Bajda, Bormla, Furjana, Ħal Għaxaq, Ħal Qormi, Ħal Safi, Ħamrun, Ħaż-Żabbar, Ħaż-Żebbuġ, Marsa, Marsascala, Msida, Paola, Pieta’, San Ġwann, Siġġiewi, Valletta, and Żejtun.

All MCAST students and staff members who would like to participate are to join the Facebook Group “MCAST by Bicycle”. For more information, send a direct message to MOVE expressing your wish to participate and the location that you would like to start from.
