MCAST doors still open for enrolment

For the first time, MCAST issued a final call in November to accommodate students who have now received their SEC and Matriculation results. The call is open to prospective applicants until Monday 16 November. Students have reacted positively to the College’s flexible and inclusive approach in these exceptional pandemic circumstances.

In October, when the College opened its doors to new and returning students, the Principal and CEO Prof Joachim James Calleja recognised that the evolving situation requires a readiness to adapt to changes and possible scenarios. He vouched that the higher education institution would work with agility and adjust elements of its provision for the benefit of students, ensuring that no one is left behind.

The College has issued guidance to already registered students who may need to transfer to a different level or course depending on the results obtained. Students are to present their result slips to their institutes, indicating the course code and title they wish to transfer to. Transfers will be accepted until 13 November. Students who were conditionally accepted to courses at levels 4, 5 and 6 are to present their results between 23 and 27 November.

MCAST Registrar Maria Pace said: “We are well aware that students sitting for their SEC and MATSEC experienced difficult circumstances this year. As we have already done throughout our summer intake, we are providing support to all students so that they can successfully continue their learning. Receiving results can be an exciting time, but it can also bring disappointments. We want to encourage all students to take the next step and to choose the right programme to reach their full potential.”
