Inclusive Education Unit - IEU
Students with particular needs including disabilities
and/or learning difficulties are given the necessary
support for their studies at MCAST. In order to
benefit from this service, students should contact
the Inclusive Education Unit on tel. 23987127
and ask for an appointment with the Inclusion
Coordinator before they apply for the course.
Every applicant is offered a confidential interview
to assess and discuss his/her particular needs and
the kind of support that the College will be offering.
Students are requested to provide the following
documents at the interview:
- A recent psychological report (if applicable)
- A medical report/certificate (if applicable)
- Access arrangements letter from MATSEC
(if applicable)
- Qualifications/Results
- School Leaving Certificate
- Identity Card
- Special Identity Card (if applicable)
- Other relevant documents (e.g. IEP)
Our goal is to help students with particular needs
become more independent especially as they
progress from one level to another. All support
is optional meaning that despite being registered
with the IEU, a student can have partial support,
refuse to have it, postpone it, or stop it at any time.
In addition, all the personal data provided is treated
as highly confidential. Lecturers are made aware of
students’ particular needs only with the students’
consent. Students who fail to put forward their
request prior to the submission of their application
may not benefit from the services offered. Email:
