About The Course The programme is designed to provide an opportunity to school leavers in possession of the School Leaving Certificate to follow a structured programme of study in that area which is closer to his/her interests. The programme includes a significant amount of vocational practice that will help students to form a clear idea of the nature of the trade or vocation they intend to follow. Assessment of each unit in this qualification is mainly through a system of continuous assessment and tests. Students who show better understanding and application will be awarded the grades of Merit or Distinction.

This course aims at giving students an introduction to the world of business while consolidating their knowledge of those basic subjects required for them to join a variety of courses. It may also serve as a stepping stone to the MCAST Intermediate Certificate in Business. This course is not intended to prepare students for immediate employment.

About The Course This course is intended for students who have already followed a course of study leading to the Secondary Education Examination Certificate and sat for the examinations of the Matriculation and Secondary Education Certificate Examination Board . MCAST is thus providing the opportunity to students who did not manage to obtain the necessary results to undertake a revision programme with a view to obtaining the necessary entry requirements for further study.
