Entry Requirements
| MCAST-BTEC Foundation Diploma in Art & Design Or MCAST-BTEC Extended Diploma in Art and Design (Design Crafts) Or MCAST-BTEC Extended Diploma in Creative Media Production* *As from September 2013, students progressing from the MCAST-BTEC Extended Diploma in Creative Media Production will be given preference in cases where the number of applicants exceeds the number of available places. Or 2 A-Level passes and 2 I-Level passes Preferred A-Level: Art or Art and Design or equivalent

Course Description
| An understanding of Media Studies has become critically essential in today’s society. This is a diverse sector compared to other types of industries and there are various different potential careers, ranging from creative and technical roles to commercial and administration-based jobs. The MCAST-BTEC Higher National Diploma in Media (Moving Image) offers learners the opportunity to build a strong portfolio of audio-visual productions. Throughout the programme, you will be challenged to work on real-life cases, applying theoretical knowledge to practical projects. Work is often conducted in teams, and you will be in a position to take up different roles so as to give you exposure in all media areas.

Study/Course Delivery
| Course delivery is given through workshops, lectures and practical experience opportunities to work in teams and complete real-life projects. Media students use industry-standard camera and editing technology and facitlities, hence increasing their chances for employment within the media sector, both locally and internationally. |
