Course Description
This course offers a strong emphasis on practical skills development alongside the assimilation of requisite knowledge and understanding in the field of product and spatial design.
You will be expected to be able to work individually as well as in teams, in the production of design work for fictional as well as real-life case scenarios. This holistic vocational programme meets individual progression needs, whether it leads to employment or further studies on degree courses.
Study/Course Delivery
The course involves the use of specialised design software applications and a considerable amount of workshop practice. Students are expected to learn apply theory to practical and realistic work scenarios. They should show evidence of independent study, management of own and others’ activities, and lateral and creative thinking.
Assessment
Students will be assessed on their knowledge and practical learning skills as evidenced in their project work. Learners are assessed against set criteria provided in a number of assignment briefs, for which they have to present a number of evidences to support achievement of key competences.
