Through work placements students will get the chance to develop the skills and competences required to work within the health sector.

Study/Course Delivery

During this two-year programme students will follow 17 units of study and will also experience work placement training. Students will follow a structured taught programme that will consist of class-based lectures. Work placement will be carried out with one 4-week block placement every academic year, and one day work placement per week for the first academic year only.

All units for this course are locally assessed using BTEC grading and assessment criteria. For each unit of study a limited number of formal assessments (between 2 to 4) will be carried out by students to provide evidence of their learning. Work-placed assessments will also be carried out through visits and monitoring of students’ logbooks.
